Meet your Wedding Minister...
Rev. Paula J. King
You can e-mail me.
I am an ordained Minister and Notary Public.
I specialize in personalized, custom-designed weddings
that can be religious, civil, interfaith, non-denominational or spiritual.
I can meet the needs of couples who:
want a customized ceremony that reflects their beliefs and sentiments.
have different religious backgrounds.
are unaffiliated with any faith / religion / church.
have an officiant unable to travel to their location or not available for their date / time.
belong to a religion that does not accept couples who have been divorced.
want a minister that does not require pre-marital counseling but will provide counseling, if requested.
want to include their children in their ceremony.
want their pets at the ceremony.
Fees are competitive with other wedding ministers in the area and depend upon the location of your wedding site, services provided, and distance traveled to your site.
My services include:
a 'get acquainted' meeting with the couple.
creating a wedding worksheet for the couple's use with a selection of poems, vows, readings, rituals, etc.
writing and revising the wedding ceremony according to the couple's wishes.
discussing attire for the wedding.
arrival times for the ceremony and rehearsal.
taking the wedding license in my possession as soon as possible to avoid not having it at the ceremony site.
preparing the space for the marriage ritual with prayer and purification.
giving the couple a bound copy of the ceremony along with a keepsake marriage certificate.
accepting short notice weddings.
specializing in smaller wedding parties.

Florida Marriage License Information
Florida Marriage Licenses are issued to both Florida residents and non-residents. Marriage license requirements include age of applicants, must be at least 18 years old, and the couple must appear in person to obtain a license. A picture I.D. with the date of birth must be provided (driver's license, passport).
Florida Marriage Licenses are issued immediately and must be used within sixty (60) days from the "effective date." For residents of Florida, there is a three-day waiting period. There is no waiting period for out of state residents.
Florida residents may waive the three day waiting period by choosing to attend a premarital class and presenting a certification of attendance to the marriage clerk at the time of application.
Florida Marriage Licenses may be obtained Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding legal holidays. Licenses may be obtained from any Florida County Administration Office.
If only one of the couple is a Florida resident and the Florida resident takes the course, there is no waiting period.
If either party was married before, a copy of the final judgment of the divorce or death certificate is required.
A Marriage license costs $93.50 (cash only). The only exception is for Florida residents that have provided proof of a premarital class, a savings of $32.50. Please note, you are responsible to check to make sure these fees have not changed. We regularly update this site and try to keep it as accurate as possible.
For further information or questions regarding your marriage license, you may call the local County Clerk of Courts.
